During his extensive research he saw a need for change within the culture revolving plastic pollution. He is the co-founder of the non-profit organisation WeSea. They focus on educating the public and spreading awesomeness through beach clean ups and educational programs.

Later he somehow ended up working on a cruise ship for five years.
